Hill Climbing ride-on mower capable of handling New Zealand’s Tough terrain. A Purpose Built Rideon equipped with differential lock and front brakes, With Mud Grip Tyres all round, ideal for cutting high kikuyu grass and stubborn bushes on rough steep hilly terrain and uneven ground. With the purpose spec hi performance 22HP Briggs & Stratton engine, The Climber 9.22 can perform these tasks both safety and efficiency.  This machine is ideal for working in the countryside, agriculture market, or in the maintenance industry of professional and domestic gardening.

Its extreme manoeuvrability, smooth drive and high work rate make the Grillo Climber 9.22 an extremely rapid and efficient machine whilst at the same time it is very easy to use.

The single blade cutter deck has a working width of 91 cm. The structure of the whole cutting deck is built to be shock-resistant. The blade shaft is of a large diameter and the cutting drive guarantees reliability even under the most demanding conditions for many hours in all safety. The cutting bar blade is made from special moulded steel with a low-noise output,  and they are fitted with various reversible swing tip blades (sharpened on both sides so that they can be reversed once they are worn). They automatic disengagement in case of bumping into something such as stumps. The cutting deck comes provided with protective side openings that can be lifted up for an easy maintenance and cleaning.

Climber 9.22 is a compact sized machine, with a low centre of gravity and an optimal weight distribution, built to obtain maximum stability under the toughest conditions and offers maximum security for the operator in working areas where there are many slopes.

The low positioned seat conveys safety to the operator; wiliest the endothermic engine, sitting with a vertical crankshaft position to the drive unit, supplies direct torque to the blades of the mowing deck: Positioned exactly between the 4 wheels of the mower: along with the fuel tank and battery located over the front axle. makes this machine an extraordinarily stable unit.

The front oscillating axle and wheels with tractor profile tyres ensure grip on uneven ground with low adherence.

On the steepest mow able slopes the Climber 9.22 will climb up with Great safety. In order to further increase the operator’s safety  wiliest mowing downhill, the Climber 9.22 is fitted as standard with drum brakes on the front wheels, and are controlled by a foot pedal much like driving a car; so in combination with the differential lock and four wheel breaking system you can obtain maximum adherence.

The extremely small turning radius of only 38 cm allows working in narrow areas. The low height clearance makes the Climber ideal for working under trees, bushes etc.

The powerful, professional 22 HP Briggs & Stratton engine, together with the robust chassis the reliable transmission, guarantees high performances even for the most demanding professional operators.
Front wheels are anti-puncture treated making work possible in the most hostile places!

In addition to the cooling system fan, they also equipped with a copper coil air/oil cooler ensuring optimum oil temperature and performance.

Furthermore, the transmission incorporates a high performance pump giving the Climber 9.22 outstanding performance even in the most demanding situations.

The hydrostatic transmission has been positioned next to the engine, and not below it, to help to obtain a low oil working temperature. This avoids warm air from the engine adding heat to the hydraulic system and so subsequent damage with hydrostatic transmission is avoided.

An electric push-button switch positioned near the steering wheel engages the blade P.T.O. The cutting height, from 30 to 90 mm can be adjusted from the driver’s seat by means of a lever with 4 cutting positions; the same lever has a position for transfer allowing you to lift the whole cutting deck from the ground. The blade rotation is stopped automatically in order to pass over road kerbs.

The cutting deck’s belt tension is self-adjusting. The whole cutting deck is always kept parallel to the ground improving the cutting quality even after many years of intensive use.

Climber 9.22 is an extremely comfortable machine!

Its extraordinary roominess is obtained by extremely low and long foot rests Just like Driving a Car. Letting your feet lean to the best angle to give you the operator maximal comfort and safety. The drive lever and the steering wheel are smooth when engaging them. The adjustable and dampened seat is equipped with armrests that ensure greater safety for the operator when working on slopes, stopping you from sliding about in the seat and providing a sense of security. Driving about in the Climber 9.22 will not make you tired even after extended periods of work!

All of the components, from the simplest to the most complex are of a high quality standard.
Grillo in Italy builds all the Chassis, cutting drive and cutting decks.  Using only premium quality materials and innovative technology in order to obtain a high, standard that is 100% controlled quality.

Painting of Grillo machines consists of a double electrostatic powder coated process. At the beginning they are washed in baths for the preparation, then a first protective coat is applied and then baked in the ovens, this has proven to be the best basis for the application of the finishing coat. The second coat consisting of varnish and a further baking in the oven at 190°C convey the characteristic hardness and brilliance that these machines reveal.

All of Grillo’s Products assembled with care in every detail. Then specialised personnel test them scrupulously. During the final inspection, the engine is run in order to check the functionality. This is a further and final guarantee for a high quality product.

As with all products by Grillo, The Climber 9.22 was designed and built to last and keep its value for many years.

All Grillo products are distributed and serviced by a widespread Grillo specialist dealer network. Spare parts remain available also after many years.
